On September 13, 2026, Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management (GS-BATM) students joined an open talk about the digital world we use every day during a featured guest session: "Marketing Communication Ethics in the Era of AI."
We were delighted to welcome Dr. Archana Sarkar, Assistant Professor from the Faculty of Management Studies at CHARUSAT, India. Rather than talking only about algorithms and speed, Dr. Sarkar walked our students through the real human impact of AI-generated content, hyper-personalization, consumer privacy, and data fairness.
Through interactive case studies and a hands-on "AI Marketing Boardroom" exercise, the class explored where simple legal compliance ends and genuine moral responsibility begins. The core takeaway that stayed with everyone was simple yet powerful:
"𝑨𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆, 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒛𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆—𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑨𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚."
It was an eye-opening session reminding us that empathy, honesty, and human oversight will always be the most important skills in marketing!
